The system adopts advanced ultrasonic technology, image pattern recognition technology and inertial reference measurement technology. With "ultrasonic rail detection system", "track bed inspection system" and "track detection system", the system automatically detects the internal defects, surface cracks, fastener missing and fracture, sleeper cracks, track static geometric parameters, etc. of the rail, and automatically locates, extracts features and alarms the out of gauge defects.

The system can be equipped with other subsystems such as tunnel gauge and rail wear, which is suitable for the automatic detection of various types of rail tracks in domestic railway.
